President BOUTEFLIKA reshuffles heads of sub-prefectures, local administration executives

ALGIERS- President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika conducted on November 3rd, a reshuffle among the heads of sub-prefectures, directors of regulation and general affairs, directors of local administration and provincial general inspectors, in accordance with the provisions of article 92 of the Constitution.
This movement comprises the decisions of transfer of executives who have been in their current posts for more than five years and the promotion of executives in vacant posts, said the Ministry of Interior and Local Authorities in a communiqué.
“The promotions in this reshuffle enshrine the principle of the integration of young executives and the promotion of women to hold responsibility posts in the local authorities,” said the source.
The reshuffle concerns the transfer of 177 heads of sub-prefectures and promotion of 100 executives as heads of sub-prefectures.
It also includes the transfer of nine (09) directors of regulation and general affairs (DRAG) and the appointment of eight (08) executives as directors of regulation and general affairs.
A total of 11 directors of local administration have been transferred and nine (09) executives have been promoted as directors of local administration.
The reshuffle also concerns the transfer of three (03) provincial general inspectors and the promotion of four (04) executives as provincial general inspectors.
“This reshuffle comes to complete the one conducted among the provincial general secretaries in which six general secretaries were transferred and seven executives were promoted as provincial general secretaries,” according to the source.
